Stairlifts.
Residential Stairlifts are a simpler alternative to vertical platform lifts, incline platform lifts, or home elevators (see below). They can be modified to fit any staircase in or outside your home.

Stairlifts can be installed on straight or curved staircases – even spiral stairs!

Passengers can even ride up in safety and comfort with a variety of innovative styles and models designed specifically to accommodate all stairways. The comfortable seats can swivel, remain stationary, and even fold up when not in use.

In addition to factory-direct products, Custom Home Elevator & Lift also offers completely refurbished stairlifts.

For short-term needs, we offer a stairlift rental program.

Incline Platform Lifts.
Custom Home Elevator & Lift supplies inclined wheelchair platform lifts that are designed to provide a safe and reliable means of access up and down staircases for people using wheelchairs.

Using a robust gearhead drive system, these products are designed to meet most residential needs. Emergency battery powered "backup" systems enable lowering and raising of the lift even during a main power failure. Safety features include under-platform obstruction sensors, constant pressure control buttons, handrails, emergency stop switch, final limit switch, key switch, and anti-slip flooring.

Inclined Wheelchair Platform Lifts can be installed indoors or outdoors.

For portable applications, Custom Home Elevator & Lift offers the Roby Powered Stair Climber.

The Roby powered stair climber allows an operator to move a person in a wheelchair up and down stairs using a motorized traction control system.

Battery powered and portable, the Roby can be used when there is no elevator or lift, or when an elevator or lift cannot be used. After securely fastening the wheelchair to the Roby with its easy-clip system, the operator guides the Roby up or down the stairs. The tracking system grips the stairs to ensure a solid contact and moves along each stair with smooth and quiet operation.

The Roby can be used on stairs up to a 35 degree angle and can be used indoors and outdoors while the passenger remains in a natural upright position.

Vertical Platform Lifts.
Custom Home Elevator & Lift supplies vertical wheelchair platform lifts that are designed to provide a safe and reliable means of vertical access for persons with physical disabilities.

Often used in place of wheelchair ramps, basic vertical platform lifts (VPLs) are perfect for providing access to porches or garage use. These lifts can also be used in shaft ways within the home itself.

Using innovative 1:2 cable hydraulic lift or screw drives, these products are available in multi configurations to meet many residential needs. Emergency battery powered "backup" systems are also available for lowering and raising of the lift even during a main power failure. Safety features include under-platform obstruction sensors, constant pressure control buttons, handrail, emergency stop switch, final limit switch, and anti-slip flooring.

VPLs can be installed for permanent and portable applications for indoors, outdoors, home, or public use.

Enclosed Vertical Platform Lifts.
Enclosed Vertical Platform Lifts (EVPLs) perform like elevators (see below) yet require minimum site preparation—and cost. EVPLs are available in both steel-frame and corrosion-resistant aluminum-frame versions for indoor and outdoor applications, respectively.

Some EVPLs are manufactured as an unenclosed lift. These popular models can be easily customized to blend with surrounding interiors and exteriors – or completely concealed. These units are often installed within a vertical runway enclosure built by Custom Home Elevator & Lift. Because of their versatility, these models can overcome architectural barriers in a variety of different settings.

Through-the-floor Elevators.
One of the easiest and quickest ways to add an elevator to your home is with a through-the-floor home elevator. This unit requires minimal construction because no elevator hoistway is required for installation. It is designed to operate between two floors such as a ranch house with a basement.

This innovative "vanishing" elevator travels on a guide rail system through a floor cut-out. Its modern appearance blends into your home decor and the enclosed drive tower keeps mechanical components out of site and safe. The unit has a capacity of 500 lbs (227 kg) and a standard interior cab of 30" by 46" (76.2 cm x 116.8 cm).

Through-the-floor elevators come with interior lighting and are finished in white or beige powder coat. Choose from clear or bronze-tinted acrylic window panels. You can also custom order your Telecab with a larger cab interior, or add a second door to accommodate a landing exit.

If you're considering a home elevator, but are worried about space, a through-the-floor home elevator may be just right for you. Back to top

Home Elevators.
For the maximum in home mobility, nothing beats a home elevator. Mechanically, home elevators are driven in one of three ways: cable, piston, or pneumatic vacuum. The hardware is typically installed in a pit below the unit, however, a “pit-less” model is available for easier installation.

These elevators can be designed for unlimited applications and needs. They can be luxurious or simple. They can add aesthetic beauty to your home, or be hidden from sight.

Most home elevator entrances appear as closets with standard doors that match the other doors throughout your home. But there are also models that have automatic sliding doors seen on commercial units. Since these “slim” doors do not open out, they do not impede on surrounding walkways.

Home elevators provide unlimited mobility access throughout your home while increasing its value.
